Haunted Trolley tours leave from Harrison Brothers Hardware at 6 p.m. Saturdays through October (in October, we also have Friday night trolley tours). Our one hour tour takes us to the Historic Huntsville Depot, the site of the old hanging tree, the Georgia Graveyard, Maple Hill Cemetery, and more. Stories include the ghost who waits for his brother to return so they can go home together after the war, husband #2 of the Black Widow of Hazel Green, the man sentenced to hang for murder, and many more. Haunted Trolley Tour tickets must be purchased directly from Harrison Brothers Hardware Store, and because seating is limited to 28, we recommend they be bought in advance. Haunted Trolley tickets are $12 for adults, $10 for kids 12 and under. Cash please
Old Town Historic District
This was our original Ghost Walk. It contains stories such as the "Fraternity House for Ghosts," the children of Walker Street, the ghost in the courthouse, and the murder of Judge Thomas Lawler. These buildings are mostly Victorian-style (late 1800s).
Twickenham Historic District
Our second Ghost Walk travels through the streets with the Antebellum-style mansions (pre-1860s). On this tour we speak about LeRoy "Father of Huntsville" Pope, Helion Lodge #1, the Backwards House, and many others.
Lastly, Haunted Downtown features the businesses in downtown Huntsville as well as the Big Spring. We talk about the Marble Palace, Confederate soldiers, the Halsey Grocery Store, and the oldest spirits we have encountered on our trips: the American Indians. This is the only tour which has stairs.
All tours will begin promptly at the start time so be sure to show up early to find parking and purchase tickets. They all are approximately 2 hours long, all have completely different stories, all are equally wonderful. Don't ask us to choose the best, we love them all!
